Eligibility
Open Categories:
• ✅ Students (undergraduate, graduate, PhD)
• ✅ Academic researchers and faculty
• ✅ Independent developers and startups
• ✅ Environmental professionals and climate scientists
• ✅ International participants (with country restrictions noted)
Team Structure:
• Teams of 2-5 members (individual submissions allowed)
• Cross-institutional and international collaboration encouraged.
• One person can only be on one team.
Restrictions:
❌ Hackathon organizers and immediate family (can mentor only)
❌ Judges and their immediate family
❌ Previous grand prize winners (can participate for smaller awards)
Project and Submission Requirements

Track Alignment: Clearly present the track you've chosen and explain how your project addresses the theme or challenge within that track.

Demo Video (3–5 mins): Showcase your project in action with a brief, focused demo video highlighting key features and functionality.

Code Repository: Include a link to your GitHub repo (or equivalent) that contains the source code and any relevant documentation.

Deadline: Make sure to submit your project before the official deadline to be considered for judging. Dont submit before official start time which 8 AM PT on October 25.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
🌍 Climate ImpactHow effectively does the project address a real climate or environmental challenge? Does the solution contribute to improving sustainability, environmental transparency, carbon tracking, renewable energy adoption, or ecosystem protection?
✨ Innovation & CreativityIs the idea fresh, innovative, and exciting? Does it take a unique approach to applying blockchain or emerging technologies to solve climate-related challenges within the chosen track?
🛠️ Technical ExecutionDoes the project function as intended? Is the technology behind it well-implemented, technically sound, and appropriate for the proposed solution? Does it demonstrate effective use of tools such as blockchain, smart contracts, AI, data platforms, or environmental data integration?
📈 Practical UsefulnessHow practical and scalable is the solution? Could the project realistically be used by organizations, communities, policymakers, or businesses to improve climate action, sustainability, or environmental monitoring?
🎥 Presentation & StorytellingIs the demo clear, engaging, and easy to understand? Does the presentation effectively communicate:
